Our Pharmacists
Kaye’s pharmacy department staff includes four licensed pharmacists, four board-certified pharmacy technicians, four board-eligible pharmacy technicians, as well as several interns enrolled in the University of Connecticut’s Doctor of Pharmacy program. Our knowledgeable staff is always available to assist and counsel patients.

 Sam
Kalmanowitz, B.S.,
R.Ph.
Sam Kalmanowitz received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in June of 1961and has practiced as a licensed Pharmacist in the State of Connecticut since receiving his license in December of 1961. Sam serves as the President of the organization and oversees the day to day operation of all functions and facets. Additionally, he personally supervises all fifty-four employees. He has received post-graduate certification from several sources, including the National Institute for Pharmacist Care Outcomes, Diabetes Care; the Professional Compounding Corporation of America, advanced extemporaneous pharmaceutical compounding; United Surgical, Post-operative management of ostomy patients and appliance fitting of ostomy devices; and S. H. Camp & Company, selection and application of orthotic supports and appliances. Sam has also served as a Clinical Preceptor for the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy since his appointment to that position in May of 1976.

 Neal Badner, B.S., R.Ph.
Neal Badner received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and
licensure as a Pharmacist in 1978, the same year he joined the Kaye’s staff. He has earned certification from the Professional Compounding Centers of America in advanced extemporaneous pharmaceutical compounding.

 Thomas Malia, B.S., R.Ph.
Tom Malia received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and
licensure as a Pharmacist in 1970 and has also earned certification from the Professional Compounding Centers of America in advanced extemporaneous pharmaceutical compounding. He has been a pharmacist at Kaye’s since 1974.

 Costante Morasutti, B.S., R.Ph.,
C.C.N.
Conny Morasutti received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and licensure as a Pharmacist in 1978. Having worked at Kaye’s in various positions since 1968, he joined the pharmacy staff after receiving his licensure. He has earned recognition as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and holds certification from the Professional Compounding Centers of America in advanced extemporaneous pharmaceutical compounding. In addition, Conny is currently completing graduate training at the University of Bridgeport and is a Candidate for the Master of Science in Human Nutrition degree.
